Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

It was just the one track. Disregard.
Yea armageddon, ill give you that. Definitely sounds like a HS riff.
To be honest, i hear lots of neil and crazy horse influences on here. Especially the last few tracks. Neils guitar tone is very prevalent across the album.
This is also growing on me. 21st century usa is cringe worthy though. That is also very Neil Young in how "on the nose" those lyrics are.

Seems like Patterson always has at least one song like that per album where he feels the need to spell out the themes of the album without any subtlety.

Honestly, I don't really think subtlety has ever been a major element of DBT.

Listening to Go-Go Boots this morning. The low points of the album are the low points of their catalog for me, but the highs are spectacular.

New album this friday! Thats exciting though I dont care much for the single they just dropped.
They have lost a little bit of their....nastiness? I love the last album but a lot of songs are kind of those mid tempo less aggressive numbers that some times hit the spot.

Pre-ordered the vinyl within seconds of getting the Bandcamp notification.
The single didn't do much for me. Rhythm guitar goes strummy-strum, lead guitar goes squiggle-squiggle, piano goes plink-plink. Standard post-Isbell mid-tempo DBT song.
I'm excited for a studio cut of The Unraveling. I only have a very rough live version.
Cooley's Sarah Palin song sounds funny/despair inducing.

They've bored me a bit lately to be honest. Brighter Than Creations Dark was the last one I remember really liking.

I'm glad they put it out and I'm happy to support the band but this thing is not good.

I almost gave up after the first song. Is it a rule now that all their records have to revolve around a cringey political single?

THis is awful and then topped off with a weird/not so good cover of KKK took my baby away.
It all sounds the same.

If we're honest, every album since BTCD has been however many songs Cooley could write, padded out to album length by Hood with varying degrees of success.

There's a couple of recent live shows from the 9:30 Club on Bandcamp. The Unraveling songs sound soooo much better live than on the record.
This is the longest they've had one lineup together. Might be time to shake things up again.

I'm warming to the new ok. Still their worst album, but pretty enjoyable overall.
