I’ve resisted pitch clock but I don’t see a better solution.

Now I hope they end up just cancelling the season.
I honestly would rather have ties than have them bastardize the game to solve a problem that didnt exist. Games arent long because they are all going 15 innings.
Yep. And extra-innings games are so much fun. Good job, MLB! You shortened a few games by a few minutes by removing some of the most intense, exciting parts of the game!

Wow, that is really goofy. Is this just a test for this season?

Yeah, that extra innings rule is really dumb.

When players are making half billion dollar contracts it is hard to believe when they say the game is dying.

new extra inning rule:

every inning played after 9, the defense removes one fielder.

10 inning - remove one fielder
11 inning - remove another fielder

etc..

This is what happens when you have a commissioner who actively hates the sport he is overseeing.

I've seen lots of people throwing out suggestions, but I still haven't figured out what problem this is all intended to solve.

I wonder how much of an effect the "relief pitchers must face multiple batters" rule would have on extra innings games without more gimmicks/rules.

That one would likely speed things up a little bit because of fewer pitching changes and teams being forced into less-than-ideal pitching matchups.

You all know, Satch used to do this all the time, from the 1st inning on. then the 9th inning with no one left but him and the catcher, hed walk the bases loaded... and strike the next 3 guys out.

Yeah it was ok but MLB Network Presents is a poor man's 30 For 30.

JOSH - Haven’t seen you post in a while?

Your Twins gonna take the whole thing this year or what?

I like the M’s chances. They start hot then crumble by the all star break. Well, this season it’s just the start then the playoffs. Only fitting that our first WS would be no fans allowed, too.

"Start hot then crumble by the All Star break" is their thing when they're a decent team. Right now they just suck.
