Sure, but I guess I wonder what work it does to say, "these aren't real white supremacists." They might not be avowed or self-identified white supremacists--insofar as they're (maybe) not in the KKK--but if you think it's funny to yell "white power" or you want to piss off liberals by doing so, you in some way think there isn't any problem with white supremacy, and that the people upset about it are fixating on a fake problem, blowing things out of proportion, etc. And so if we know that American society is structurally racist, the people who don't want to change that society are kind of by default, tacitly, in favor of white supremacy. This is kind of the argument you've been making about/around tree_ for the past week, no?

Leaving aside, too, the fact that you can't really know whether or not he's a true believer or just saying this to own the protestors.
