I liked it. Its not super funny, but it has its moments and a lot of heart. Both Ferrell and McAdams are wonderful, followed closed by Dan Stevens and Brosnan.
I liked this too. And again I'm reminded that McAdams is probably the best actress of her generation. She elevates this movie. But Ferrell is also holding his own. One of his better efforts, as well. I love when he gets reigned in a bit.
Better than Kendrick?!?!
Absolutely. McAdams is another level.

The Nightingale was really good. Loved it. The acting was good, great at times. Story had some 100% shocking moments, during which I couldn't help but gasp, sometimes cry. It felt like a very mature Disney tale. It could be too long for some people, I can see that. For me, the length was justified. Tonally, it can be a little uneven from time to time, but it worked.

Touchy Feely

Its one of my least Lynn Shelton movies for sure. Rosemary De Witt is great as always, but everyone else is weird. Ellen Page is kinda awful. The movie doesnt really go anywhere with a lot of stuff and it just ends there.

The Sitter

Another least favorite movie from. This time from David Gordon Green. Still there is enough to like from a great Jonah Hill to some cool gags. Fun.

Ready Player One

I read the book when it first came out. NaNoWriMo attempt dripping with 80s obsession. Sucked.

The movie isn’t any better. What the hell happened to Spielberg? Some of it looks and feels quite amateur.

The book is awful. It was written by a nice dude who lived in my neighborhood and who's kid I took care of so I have every reason to have a good bias towards it, but it was a chore to read. Was not surprised when the movie also sucked.

It’s like when you watch a movie and you see some 80s throwback and it’s done in such a way that you smile and say “oh that’s cool.”

But this book just throws everything and the proverbial 80s kitchen sink at you. And then the movie with exposition to explain the insane amount of backstory and plot machinations to make this fit into a 2.5 hr movie. For shame, SPielberg.

It's damn near perfect. And I'm not a big musical person. And while it was cast incredibly, Philippa Soo absolutely stole the show

Hamilton is unquestionably a historically inaccurate hagiography with some unfortunate implications but it holds together so well dramatically and the songs are super good; it's been fun over the last couple days to see some folks dead-set on "hate-watching" the thing and coming out with the impression "okay I actually am kind of enjoying this"

That said, Lin Manuel Miranda is the corniest most annoying person on planet earth
