Still playing this, but also a ton of Apex and Warzone. Usually I’ve given up on games like this by now but they keep me coming back.scrub12 wrote:Okay Maneater is fun as hell. Got it on discount.

Re: What are you playing?
Started the campaign for this last night. A bit more on-rails than I usually like, and the game just seems so simplistic (are all DICE games like this?), but it also does feel very Star Wars-y, so I really am enjoying the atmosphere.Simple Torture wrote:I played about 45 minutes of Battlefront 2 last night and was really not impressed by it. I only did the single-player arcade mode, so no multiplayer, and I still want to give the campaign a shot, but it really felt one-note.

Re: What are you playing?
I would agree with this assessment. Though to be honest i actually prefer the simplicity of it. I haven't been much of an FPS player on this gen of consoles so i'm all old and out of practice. I appreciate the basic newbie friendly gameplay cause honestly, i'm just there for the Star Wars feels. Reskin that same game as a generic space marine shooter and i'm out. Haven't played it in a year or two though, how is the online community these days? Is it easy to get a match in one of the less popular modes?tragabigzanda wrote:2. Yeah, Battlefront 2 is not great, too much random pew pew, seems to be a game modeled for the masses. The first installment offered much better online gameplay.

Yeah, the Star Wars feels are where it's at. Also nice that each level takes about 45 minutes, so I can easily plan to do one per night.

Disco Elysium is absolutely incredible and I could not stop playing it yesterday. Interviewing people in this game is like L.A. Noire on LSD, with your own brain serving as a guide, conscience and even antagonist. And the world building is awesome. Feels kind of like an absurdist Dishonored put 200 years into the future. I cannot stop thinking about it.

I was going to wait until the PS4 release but got impatient and downloaded it on my Mac. Have no idea when I'll have the time to sit down with it, though.tragabigzanda wrote:I want to play this badly but it’s not on Ps4. Glad you are enjoying!

I bought the red faction guerilla remaster for my nephew today and played a little with him. I forgot how ridiculously satisfying that game is.
It's a shame nobody else has tried the level of destruction they achieved in it.

Got back into Rocket League and Forza Horizon 4 again. I don’t even like racing games but Forza is so much fun.
And Rocket League is just insanely replayable.

Rocket League is in my Top 10 of games released this generation. Maybe even too 5. Such a simple idea executed to perfection.
