I looks gorgeous. But I don't know that I'm gonna keep going. I haven't decided yet. I love the noir genre but this is just so obvious and formulaic. It's literally every trope, one after the other. Like, I'm certain that the only reason there's a dead baby in it is to keep the readers they pitched to interested beyond the first five pages.

I want to love it. And I'll give it another episode but there's so much out there that it feels pointless to keep with something so blah. No matter how pretty it looks.
Well this is disappointing.

Give it a shot and see for yourself. You might really dig it. And maybe it does some exciting things coming up. Could be it just isn't for me. But it's one of my favorite actors in one of my favorite genres, so... I'm just as disappointed and baffled as anyone.

Especially since it's so goddamn well lit/shot. The art direction and cinematography are top notch!

Homecoming S2.

Great ending with so much to unpack. Well worth the awkward first few eps.

Yellowstone

Cool show, not perfect but good characters, shot well & the music is great. They use a handful of Puscifer songs throughout the series. I never got into Tool but I’m really digging Puscifer thanks to this show. I didn’t realize Maynard Keenan was capable of making music this good. May have to give Tool another try some day.

The only person I had sympathy for was Walter. I hope if there is a season three they stick with him as the lead.

A few episodes into Season 4 of Orphan Black. It's kind of a 7 or 8 out of 10 show that is getting elevated by the lead performance, but holy shit, what a performance (or performances). It's way less gimmicky, and far more tricky, than I would have imagined before watching. I don't understand how she's not a gargantuan star by now.
