I’ll be shocked and thrilled if it takes us that long to hit 200k.

Just as a note that 10k deaths in October would be optimistic considering we're easily on track for double that in July.

I think on an instinctive level he understands that, at least partway and in his mercurial manner. He's been intermittently pushing for another stimulus check against Mitch et al. But he's a Republican so his party wouldn't support it, and he's dumber than a doornail so he just kind of forgets what he was doing and says the last thing Stephen Miller whispered in his ear.McParadigm wrote:Sometimes I think about how there’s an alternate reality where Trump sees the pandemic, thinks “This is my chance to buy the election with other people’s money,” and produces a year long economic stimulus that gives families enough to pay the rent while also dumping tremendous amounts of cash into his and his friend’s pockets. It’s hard to say how well he really groks the cause and effect of it all. The only time he’s ever had net positive approval was when he stepped back and let Dr. Fauci deliver update briefings. Instead of enjoying the “good ratings” in an election year, he seemed to get jealous and started doing the briefings himself...crashing it to the ground.Mickey wrote:I think on an instinctive level he understands that, at least partway and in his mercurial manner. Yes the abstract idea of governance is the real problem here

MA plans to open public schools, this fall. We'll see what actually happens, now that we've entered "phase 3" of reopening. Though, even in redneck MA I don't see a lot of people without masks indoors.

Re: Anybody want a Corona?
Anyone who enters the reopening phases will see cases pile back up. It's basically automatic.
