I'm pretty sure that's not true in most of the world

Do you like microwave ovens? Do you think they're useful?

About the only thing I use ours for is to heat water for tea, pop popcorn and melt butter for said popcorn.

You anti microwavers must not have teenagers in your house. When it's "I'm hungry" your options are you (or them) cook something on the stovetop creating a mess they'll never clean up, or tell them to microwave some trader joes meal that only dirties a fork.

i will answer the question: "yes," i like microwaves. they're convenient. to be sure, i'm not cooking a turkey for thanksgiving in one. but they save time, especially with kids.

I only use the microwave to make popcorn. And not normal "microwave popcorn", I use the device this dude starts reviewing at the 1:30 mark.

But I don't put the butter on top like he does. The butter doesn't need to be in the microwave for as long as the popcorn so I find it burns a little and just sticks to the side of the thing. Instead I just melt a little on the stove and pour it on top when it's done.

Sometimes I like ham. Sometime sausage. Bacon tastes really good, but it isn't all that filling.
