I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I maybe don't mean it, but Pattinson is truly astonishing in that movie. It's definitely worth a watch. I need to get into their earlier work, I've heard good things about Heaven Knows What.

A Cure For Wellness.

what a weird movie. The production design is glorious, the framing is excelente and there are some disturbing images. But its so fucking weird.

lady bird...the performances were outstanding...ronan is incredible, probably my favorite actress working today...i've always really enjoyed hedges, and jonah hill's sister's character was super endearing

my only complaint is some of the story elements could have been developed a little more

Her Smell.

Moss was outstanding. Third feature i saw with her in the lead (Invisible Man and Shirley the others) and the only reason to watch this one is her. Besides that, its another story about a poor fucked up rock star. Im kinda bored with this view. It didnt help that the movie seemed so fucking long.

Bening was great but the beat-you-over-the-head HISTORY IS HAPPENING was too corny for my tastes.
We also watched it this week. A big, fat yawn all the way through. I don’t remember anything beyond the fact that she smoked?
Yeah it was weird, the individual scenes had some absolutely stunning writing and acting--Bening and the kid's fights were great--but it didn't really build to anything? What a waste.

I've been holding off on watching this for a while because it looks similar enough to Vox Lux. The only thing that interests me is Moss.

It's alright. The movie does a good job at creating an oppressive, claustrophobic atmosphere during the first half. The dialogue is often silly but that's Alex Ross Perry for you

Moss is, by far, the best thing about this movie. This story has been told way too many times at this point, and with more interesting ideas. But Moss is a tour de force, she is truly incredible.

I forgot about Vox Lux, have you seen it?

Yeah, it was okay. Natalie Portman was really good but some of the pacing was kind of dull and the ending didn't really fit. I wouldn't watch it again.
