Has anyone else seen your area business say there’s a national coin shortage and they can’t actually give any coins back as change? I experienced that in three different places this morning. Why would there be a coin shortage? Is everybody hoarding coinage for some reason?

The only benefit to coins is that a large amount of charitable donations come in that form. Otherwise they're completely useless.
