How could a religious institution have employees that promote its faith under your preferred regime? Should religious organizations be generally barred from having employees?

Considering we're in the midst of #330 of RBG's hospital visits, I'm wondering if people here with more understanding of the process of selecting another justice can help with a question. Now, of course McConnell will try to fill a vacancy no matter what this year, but in terms of the process, does a point come where that would not be feasible prior to Election Day? These things often take months; Kavanaugh was nominated in early July, with a Senate vote in October, with Gorsuch taking a little over two months on a decidedly less controversial nomination process. Does there come a point where if August comes and RBG is still around, there's not going to be a Senate vote before Election Day?

Obviously, I think McConnell would do it anyway in the lame duck session, even if Biden wins, but I'm curious if there's a point where there is no way there'll be a Senate vote before Election Day.

You could be right, because this is his quote, with the word "new" in it. But that would undermine the "let the people decide" angle.

GH strike me dead if I'm wrong, but Trump could name a new nominee tomorrow morning and McConnell could start the process in the Senate after lunch if they wanted to confirm someone else. The Constitution doesn't say there are 9 justices. Trump could declare that he thinks RBG isn't healthy enough to be relied on and put someone else up, and then theoretically it would be a 10-person Supreme Court until RBG (or someone else) dies or retires. Or until Biden and the radical left Democrats who sweep into power in November nominate and install an 11th justice.
