Since when is there a movement to get all kids homeschooled? Basically everyone knows homeschool is trash.

I want to know what kind of fantasy world these parents live in where they can work from home and teach their kids.

What we are considering is three families grouping together and each of the parents assumes the role of in-house teacher for one day a week.

A lot of my teachers didn't know how to teach, but they didn't let that stop me them.

This message board is basically all wfh types. You'll figure out a way to make it work. But make no mistake. Parents can't teach.

It's extremely prevalent in the mid-west. Especially among conservatives. I've lost count of how many people I know who think that school is just a liberal brainwashing mechanism to get their kids to hate god and the church and have taken to homeschooling.

Lucky for them, they also think women shouldn't have jobs. So the wives/mothers do all the homeschooling while Dad spends his lunch break popping pills and pounding brews to keep the back pain at bay long enough to get home fall asleep in the recliner.

Most homeschooled people I know are brighter than average, but socially retarded. Socializing is hugely important.

I was homeschooled for kindergarten and walked into 1st grade reading like a motherfucker, but I was the youngest and my mom had a lot of experience by the time she got to me.

There's a lot to like about homeschooling. Especially when absent conservative and/or religious bias. I think as long as the social component is still present in some form and it doesn't add any unnecessary burden to the teacher/parent/caregiver it can be a really positive thing.

I don't know. Every person I've come across who's been solely homeschooled is fucking weirdo. Most of them have this look in their eye when you're talking to them, like they're wondering what flesh tastes like
