I'm getting a lightning bolt tattoo if I like the album enough. In reality it'll happen in a long while from now because I can't afford it, but yeah. I'm just needing to be *that much* more confident that it won't all go to shit, and then I'm adding to my sleeve.

what else is on your sleeve?
On my left shoulder blade I have a labyrinth design, surrounded on one side by some Polynesian on my shoulder which goes into the No Code "5 Elements" down the bicep (with more polynesian around it). On the inside of my forearm I have a trinity symbol with Japanese-style waves below it. On the inside of my forearm I've got a Celtic cross-shaped labyrinth which has the Vitalogy "vinyl" symbol in the centre of the cross to replace the normal circle. Everything in black and white. Basically it's all religious / hippy symbols rather than pictorial stuff, so a lightning bolt also designed by myself, using inspiration from the Don Pendleton art work wouldn't be out of place at all. I have space on the top of my forearm.
Sounds good! Hopefully you like the rest of LB so it can be added!
Sorry, I just realised how lengthy my post was... but yeah, thanks. I hope so too.

I quite like the slight distortion on Ed's vocals during these (especially LTRP) but I'm guessing that's the leak's fault and they'll be clean... :gomez:

no worries. You needed to describe what was on your arm. I got the visual just fine :D

I hope not. lol I'd hate to have to replace the album tracks with the leak tracks due to a significant change in the sound. Shitty leak or not, under the fuzz I love what I'm hearing and one of my biggest problems with Backspacer was that it sounded TOO clean for me.

It won't be that much cleaner. Even if it's a tiny bit cleaner, it's *fuller*, which instantly makes it sound more like... well, a band.

I dunno, there might be some distortion. When he goes into "you gotta know she'll never let you go..." in LB, that is a distinct change in the vocals. Like they're isolated or something.

Yeah, it's kind of crucial to get an artist you totally trust is awesome (I've failed once or twice on that) and that you don't get something you'll want to claw off in the future :D

I would love to get a whole PJ sleeve, different artwork from albums and posters and logos and whatnot all tied together somehow...and now being able to add the LB artwork into it somehow would be awesome... Crazy maybe but what the hell...

Listening for that now...

Edit: I think that's just Ed overdubbed over Ed.

Yeah I like a lot of the vocal layering and stuff going on...

Ya I think it's just the offset vocals or phasing. It really works well here.

That's true thank God. It's one of many things I've noticed about these tracks; they're all very full. The layering of different instruments and tones was done very well on these to give them I nice Full but not crowded sound. Even with the leak quality you can make out all the different melodies and tones. I love that.

Me too. And we have more tracks coming... hopefully some long-lasting playability.

So far we've heard

Getaway (studio)
Lightning Bolt (live/studio)
Mind Your Manners (studio)
Let The Records Play (studio)
Swallowed Whole (studio)
Infallible (live)
Future Days (live)

and I wouldn't skip any of them except for maybe Future Days (and I haven't even listened to all of it yet. I was going to wait for the studio version. Plus if that's the last track you don't really need to skip it then, eh?)

I think FD will really surprise us on the album. It won't be a better song but hopefully the production will make it lusher.

I'm hoping 'Infalllible' will be one song I can put on a par with songs from the first 7 albums.
