Our galaxy is potentially full of habitable planets. A team of scientists plans to take a picture of one by turning the sun into a giant camera lens.

Not only do aliens not create a news cycle in 2020...they don’t even warrant their own thread.

If this were Reagan's Navy, an F-14 would have photographed the UFO while inverted. The "Tic Tacs" cannot respect a country without a variable geometry air superiority fighter.

there's this website https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/ where you can plug in your zip code and it will tell you exactly when, where, and for how long the international space station is visible from your location. it will tell you precisely when in the night isis will appear, how many degrees above the horizon from which direction it appears, how many degrees above the horizon it will be at its apex, and where (and how many degrees above the horizon) it will disappear. it does this for 2 weeks in advance. my kid and went out last night to test it around 9:45, and like clockwork, there it was, viewable for about 5 minutes at about 30 degrees above the horizon s/sw to n/ne.

in the grand scheme, it may not be impressive to some. but it's pretty cool nonetheless (and awesome how they can calculate things like this).

The alieans introduced COVID to weed out the weak ones. The rest of us will become workers for them.

I see the ISS go over quite frequently. It’s really something. Gives you the feels.
