i walked outside to check on my plantings this evening and there was a baby bunny in the grass. a newborn, about the size of a baseball. he just sat there hunched over trying to hide, in 2 inch grass. very funny. then he went under my porch

i had to add some epsom salt to the soil around my gardenias

my dad just grows way more stuff he and my mom needs and can store...i think he just does it has a hobby and gives stuff away...i should invest in a mini freezer

he has two separate areas and an electric fence where the corn, tomatoes, and a few other things are...the rest, i'm not sure

corn was always the hardest one to keep safe...especially the more sweet varieties

ate the first cucumber today from the garden..fantastic..some yellow squash is almost ready as are the red bell peppers and fresno
chilis..the radishes are a bit small but potent and the beets should be ready soon as well

my gardenias are turning yellow

apparently soil PH was off

i added a bunch of epsom salt

these guys made it through the winter, but doesn't look like they will make it through the summer

who would have known, soil pH

maybe they will bounce back

but it's not looking good

they did at one point make a boatload of flowers though

at least there was one good round
