BLM has become the latest victim of white cultural appropriation

it was good while it lasted

this peaked a month or so ago with peaceful marches

CHAZ was a turning point and it's all downhill from there

leave it to whitey to ruin everything, as usual

ruined being a police officer

ruined being a black being stopped by a police officer

ruined protesting against police officers mistreating blacks

The Marshals Service has always been there, normally in different uniforms. BORTAC is new, but understandably they need some backup after Portland Police largely retreated.

The only winning move would be to remove all the files and equipment, surrender the building and let it burn. Of the largely incoherent demands, thats about the only thing the feds could deliver.

I think its a pretty solid plan, and builds on Trump moving the Bureau of Land Management to fly over land. We just move all Federal Courts and departments to the middle of bum fuck nowhere. I'm sure that'll turn out great for progressives.
Capitulating or doing nothing has not only emboldened the protesters, but it's cratered the popularity of the politicians, both city and federal.

I think they may have finally blunted the inertia of the people trying to burn down the courthouse (though I could be mistaken). If I were them I'd wait it out, declare victory and maybe move it later.

I dunno, I worry that one of the lessons learned whenever they tally up all the votes (probably after November) is that street action works for federal elections. Lots of folx seem to think that you can be an innocent protestor 5 ft away from a rioter. Time, place, and manner restrictions to 1A activity don't exist, apparently.

Stephen Miller was on Tucker Carlson, and they totally agree with verb, Burt, and B_i. You guys should chew on that a bit.

Why would anyone care what those two clowns have to say? Or is this the “you agree with *ists so you are one” thing?

I'm just saying, if Stephen Miller told me that my wife was wonderful, I'd be considering a divorce.

Evolution Update: the cops put barriers in front of the fence (dumb?) and brought in some high powered flash bangs.

The protesters graduated to full on explosives.

Someone should dub zombie horde noises from TWD over videos of the protesters

I know this is a nation-wide protest movement, but...

Did Portland Police have any issues before this? Were the people of Portland constantly complaining about how their police department was conducting business, and it just never hit the national radar?
