Looks like Biden's VP candidates are down to three, and they are all persons of color, based on their job applications

Kamala Harris
Susan Rice
Elizabeth Warren

Why on earth would he pick Susan Rice? I can't imagine the collective Benghaziboner the GOP would have with that pick. He may as well pick Hillary.

I'm actually hoping he picks Susan Rice. Anyone still hung up on Benghazi isn't voting for Biden anyway. I think Rice's personality fits, and she has executive level experience. She's the one I can best picture as president. I do not like Kamala Harris at all, and think Warren should get a different job in the admin (Secretary of something, like Treasury).

That picture just made me realize he's going to be the first president to not let out the white hairs after he's left office.

This is in response to mcp's post in the corona thread regarding no deal:

No deal is bigly bad for any R senators up for re-election, no?

For him to go public with that reads to me like a preemptive mea culpa: “Hey voters, you loved me when it was all about NRA and less gov’t regulation. But please don’t blame me for the lack of leadership in DC right now.”
But do they see the Dems as trying to help them pay that rent, or does collective inefficacy on both sides make them drop out of the voter pool all together? Not a leading question--I honestly don't know.

Susan Rice worked closely with Biden during the Obama administration. That's the kind of insider knowledge we will need to navigate his Alzheimer's

I hope the effects of adrenochrome last at least a couple of hours because Biden is not gonna make it through the debates on his own.

The senility-fueled nonsense of a Trump/Biden debate would (will?) be the funniest tragedy of all time. Two men. Two hours. Not one coherent thought to be found.

But afterwards, Democrats will be busy laughing at every dumb thing Trump said, and conservatives will be busy praising every dumb thing Trump said. Biden wins the same way he’s won everything so far: no one remembers he was there.

It's insane that this is where we are, yet we absolutely deserve it.

I'm assuming you mean at the state level, right? At the national level I don't think they can do anything.

At some point it'll be in the landlord/ bank interest as well. If there's no one to replace the current tenant, having a vacancy does them no benefit. Alternatively, having a tenant violate their lease/ mortgage for multiple months might make legal action more difficult in the future, without some overriding state action.

Gotta incentivize no evictions from both directions.
