Anti masker & longtime GOP wackadoo Louie Gomert of Texas has tested positive.
He was only tested because he was supposed to fly with Trump today to a fundraiser.
Yes, he was at the House yesterday for the Barr testimony/questioning.

Yeah okay. The one day ban I just served because people are tired of me should turn things around. Don't worry. Excellent motivational banning by the daddy mods.
I’m not tired of you I just think getting out of the negative tailspin you seem to be in might be beneficial. There’s no need to engage with this stuff on the daily man, it’s pretty pointless and I’m sure you have more positive things in your life than this place.

Was it him or someone else than informed their staff of their positive status in person?

It seems like he confirmed it to them in person, but only after the news hit.
People like Gohmert should be making anyone who supports liability protection for employers furious.

Basically, he sees the whole thing falling apart and is trying not to get any of it on him.
Not going well this afternoon. The White House is now resigned to having no deal in place by the end of the week, and is trying to reengage McConnell for help aligning the various (currently dissonant) factions of the party.
It sure sounds like Republicans can't negotiate a package that they can pass, even within their own caucus, and are trying to get Democrats to agree to a temporary extension that would give the White House time to try and strong arm its team behind a consistently Trumpian plan. No dice (a number of hard line fiscal Republicans reject the idea, as well).
You know your chances of seeing a bill are in deep shit when Mnuchin comes out of McConnell's office and says that the White House and **McConnell** are too far apart on key issues to move forward.
Among the twenty: Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Patrick Toomey, Rick Scott, Ben Sasse.
These people aren’t protesting potential compromise spots with Democrats. They’re protesting aspects of the **Republican proposal**. Twenty is an awful lot of people to corral, and there’s no chance that the bill those 20 people come up with would survive the House.
I would argue that if the rent/eviction crisis isn't averted, things could get very bad very quickly--per the estimate of CNBC, anywhere from 1/5 to 1/2 of all renters will face eviction this year. Maybe that number's off--I honestly can't say--or maybe the states work something out on there own, but taking that report at face value paints a picture of a wave of mass unrest that's looming, and that probably won't be solved by another $1200 check.

Let's be fair to verb, he also threatened to shoot Josh in the face with a musket and told me he would enjoy wearing my skin like a suit. He can be more creative when he wants.
