I remember when Gabe Kapler popped his Achilles on a home run trot; it looked just like that.

It's kind of wild that he wasn't called up until he was 28. If you look at his minor league stats, he always had some pop--it's crazy to think that it just took him that long to develop his hit tool.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Yastrzemski might be the real deal
Anyway, I've got this tweet saved from the day he was called up to the majors because it gave me all the feels:

Nvm, I was just reminded on Twitter that it was the Orioles who let him stew in the minors for 6 years. Of course they fucked that up.

Re: MLB
Soroka has a torn Achilles Tendon, he’s out this year, and probably most of next year (provided baseball is played)
The Braves are pretty much going to be running out openers when Fried isn’t pitching. Hope they get to the 3rd I guess. It’s kind of amazing to have 1 healthy starter in the organization to feel good about, but that’s the state of that staff. Fried and some guys now.

I believe they allowed a pinch runner to finish the trip around the bases.numbers wrote:Am I remembering this wrong, or didnt they carry Kapler to home plate after he went down?Simple Torture wrote:I remember when Gabe Kapler popped his Achilles on a home run trot; it looked just like that.

It's been a tough year all in all, but I'm glad we can all come together when it comes to fighting the Astros.

Houston should probably just lose its charter for a year. What a sack of crap organization.
You hit a guy 3 times in one series because he’s good, and the douchebag 1st base coach is talking shit?
The first base coach should be banned two years just for being that stupid.
