I would have liked to have seen the sale pitch for this one: "Okay, Hitler Youth but it's a comedy and the Fuhrer, as an imaginary friend, get some of the best lines. And it will look like a Wes Anderson film".
what's your favorite wes anderson film?
I would have to go with Royal Tannenbaums by default.
Jojo Rabbit was pretty good; definitely has it's moments. The kid was fantastic though and actually could pass as being related to ScarJo.

been watching the irishman on and off for the last 6 hours while trying to work...a lot of pauses and backing up when i missed something, but i made it through

pretty enjoyable and i didn't really find the digital de-aging that distracting after a bit

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. The Gentlemen. Not Richie's best film, but I still found so much to enjoy - Colin Farrell was the MVP of this film

Yeah I’ll watch this some day.

Finished Inception last night. First time in years. Loved it even more than when it came out. The plot didn’t seem nearly as complicated as I remembered it. Memento will forever be my favorite Nolan film, but this is probably his best.
Yeah I think Memento will always be a top 5 film for me

I re-watched this one recently, too. It has its charms, and I liked it a lot better this time around than I remember I liking it ten years ago.

Was gloomy last night after 2.5 hours session with the dentist. Watched the second half of OUATIH and it really cheered me up. Gets better every time. Passion for the craft of film making in bazoodles.

Makes me cry every time. Gotta have the time and be in the right space for it, but I love it.

I kind of wish there was a sequel just about the cop.
Yeah. Gotta think that relationship didn't last long with the cocaine addict. But I could watch him just go on about his faith, hopes, dreams and below-average police work for 3 hours probably. Mr. Reilly rules.
