We made a fresh-picked-blackberry cobbler thing today prompting this random food thought:

I love/hate warm desserts because they are delicious but when served with ice cream on top I feel like I have to rush through eating it before the ice cream melts and so it’s not as satisfying as it could/should be.

There is a Shake Shack on the Eastside now. First one in WA, I think. Haven’t gone there yet.

there is a SS in south lake union one block from where we lived...it pretty much saved my life during 2 months of lockdown

Last night around this time we ordered a pizza from this place we like in Brooklyn. It was delivered on time and it was delicious.

Just now, I buzzed in a delivery thinking it was a package. But actually it was the pizza place trying to re-deliver the same order from last night as though it was a new order placed today.

We turned it down and explained everything to the delivery guy but I still felt really badly that he came all the way out here. I have zero cash on me otherwise I still would have tipped him for his trouble.

Today is weird.

That’s fine that you saw it. It’s not going back up.

It was a joke about Joe’s experiences with delivery guys that may or may not have been in poor taste. I decided I didn’t want to go there, so I deleted it.
