Canned or boxed goods you enjoy

Someone was talking about fried potatoes and it got me thinking about this. I love canned new potatoes to fry up. Also, I grew up in a pretty poor house, so we had lots of things like Spam, vienna sausages, instant mashed potatoes, powdered gravy, etc.

What are some of your favorites?

Off of the top of my head:

Cans:

Corned beef/corned beef hash
any preserved fish (anchovies, kippered snacks, herring, sardines, etc.)
SPAM
Vienna sausages
Potatoes
Peas


Box/Other packaging:

Mashed potatoes (not really any more, but on occasion for nostalgia)
Gravy
Curry mixes

pretty much your same list...as you know, Le Sueur peas are where its at..

I also use lowry packets for au jus and white gravy packets for chicken fried steak..vienna sausages rule and i keep about 12 cans of sardines, etc in the the pantry at all times..canned salmon too..I love eating the bones in those things

also, the canned new potatoes is a a great call...I used to fry those up with kielbasa all the time growing up

Cans:
Beets - I fucking love beets. Rarely do I find someone who agrees.
Corned beef - I had a friend whose dad would make corned beef hash for breakfast whenever I’d stay overnight. It looked gross, but I really enjoyed it.

Box:
Stuffing
Potato pancakes
Mashed potatoes - on occasion

box: zatarains jambalaya is great..to my knowledge, I don't think i've ever had boxed mashed potatoes..it may have happened at a buffet or college dorm line..I don't know

Chef Boyardee Spaghetti & Meatballs and Beef Ravioli
Corned beef hash
Pineapple
Vienna Sausages (any flavor but plain)
Potted meat
SpagettiOs- with meatballs can’t find them with franks anymore
Corn- whole kernel or creamed style
Most types of beans- NOT pork & beans, those are fucking nasty
Pear halves
Salmon- like doug, I like the little bones


Boxed:

Velveeta Shells and cheese- although it’s nowhere near as good as it used to be
Most potato things like scalloped and the like- Mrs Wease hates the instant mashed
Boxed stuffing
Blue box Mac ‘n’ cheese is ok
Hamburger Helper- Three Cheese being the favorite

i'm with you on pork and beans, wease...never been a fan of those or beanie weenies
