yes those exist in the works of course, but I don’t think the point of them as that we’re supposed to throw pity parties for them and sympathize with all their plights...that’s all I’m saying...trust me I watched these in my darkest days and was enamored with the beauty and fascination I found despite those other elements...and I totally get that not everyone will experience these the same, but again I’m talking more about the intent not the viewer reactiontree_ wrote:Look at the themes. I don't know what he intended. I only know what's on screen. If Charlie Kaufman didn't have all these issues, I don't know if he'd write, because he hasn't written anything that isn't about his problems. He tried with Adaptation but hilariously that too ended up being about him and his problems.

that was kind of a brilliant way to meld multiple worlds/levels...but it’s actually about his real life twin brother Donaldtree_ wrote:I don't know what he intended. I only know what's on screen. It was the only way he could make the story compelling, in his own words. And no, Donald is fictional.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:that was kind of a brilliant way to meld multiple worlds/levels...but it’s actually about his real life twin brother Donaldtree_ wrote:I don't know what he intended. nope he’s real...i haven’t read the book but from what i surmise what he did is way more interesting than anything he could have created from that booktree_ wrote:It was the only way he could make the story compelling, in his own words. Re: What movies are you watching?
Fictional. He set out to adapt the book into a screenplay. He failed. But I agree this is more interesting coming from him because this is what he does (best). He can't make a story interesting without his sad shtick.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:nope he’s real...i haven’t read the book but from what i surmise what he did is way more interesting than anything he could have created from that booktree_ wrote:It was the only way he could make the story compelling, in his own words.
