do you think they'll feel less pressure now that Halo is pushed back? Or are there known problems with that game too?
Unknown. Halo apparently changed directors midway through development. That combined with COVID-19 surely contributed to the delay.

Insomniac is pretty solid and does not have a history of delays. I'm sure Sony is going to do everything they can to get it out the door and market the hell out of it. There's really no reason to pick up a Xbox Series X this Fall with this delay (if you own an Xbox One), which sucks from a competitive standpoint.

I feel like a lot of fall games are going to get delayed with everything that is going on. I’m not a developer but I can’t imagine its easy for them right now.

What do you feel is at the core of the appeal of a next generation console?

Same thing as always; better graphics, improved AI, more detailed worlds and levels, etc.

Sure, if those are important to you. If not, you can wait.

Deathloop delayed. I expect more delays too.

At this point, I’m not even convinced these systems are releasing this year.

So many delays. I can't imagine the coordination developing a game from home would take.

I bet they will still release them, but with less marketing buzz. The focus will be on 1 or 2 next gen titles, but mostly on the upgrade versions of recently released games (ex. Assassin's Creed, Cyberpunk, Madden, etc.).

I'm wondering if there will be a State of Play soon with some services announcements and the price/release date.

They've made it clear that they will announce the pre-order date in advance of pre orders going live.

Right, but I wonder if it will be an event or just a press release announcing the pre-order.

Thanks Sony?

This is a slanted lottery and will be "based on previous interest and PlayStation activities."

I never use my PSN Login for anything. No way I get chosen. Oh well.

If I understand this, they will select X number of PSN IDs, then they have the chance to preorder Y number of consoles. Even if you are selected, you might not get a preorder.
