Speaking of jokes, the Republican-led Senate investigation report out today confirms a lot about Stone and Manafort’s dealings:

1. Manafort opted for “more severe criminal penalties rather than provide complete answers about his interactions with” a known Russian intelligence officer.

2. That same Russian agent "may be connected to the GRU hack-and-leak operation related to the 2016 U.S. election,” though they couldn’t confirm this in part because of questions Manafort wouldn’t answer.

3. Once the hack-and-leak had acquired the Podesta emails, they were made accessible to Wikileaks, which according to the report was collaborating with “top Russian officials.” Wikileaks notified Stone that they had the emails and then sat on them.

4. The Trump campaign learned about the Access Hollywood tape an hour before it dropped. Stone then told Corsi to get Assange to "drop the Podesta emails“ acquired in the hack-and-leak. WikiLeaks did so within a hour of that conversation.
