I am on Arnhem, Man I forgot how good these 2006 shows were. I think from 1998-2018, 2006 was the best, they were slowly building towards this huge year, and 06 was it. Why did they ditch the evenflow drum solo still is puzzling.

Strictly from a performance standpoint, Europe and Australia 2006 have to be amongst the best tour legs ever. When I was listening to the whole tour chronologically Prag stood out for me because it's the only(!) show where they fuck up 2 songs in a row (Bushleaguer, Comatose). This never happened before on that leg. Tight and consistently great performances! I guess back in the day (and probably also today) many people don't like the "Avocado" setlists from that tour but I really enjoy those. They really nailed their new material back then. (To also mention something positive from the Prag show: killer version of Marker!) This definitely changed on the following tours where they promoted new stuff.

The SF III and Bern are phenomenal. Big fan of Camden and Newcastle as well. Would love to hear other recommendations for '06 shows.

Second this, these are all great

I'm biased towards Melbourne 16 Nov (they played my request :D ) but you can't really go wrong with anything from that leg. Milan is also sensational (great crowd as always - I love the way Ed whispers "are..you..ready" before 'Daughter' - methinks a reference to the amazing 2000 Milan performance of this song :heartbeat: ).

SF3 is as good as it get, but of the US legs, I also really enjoyed East Rutherford II and San Diego :nice:

Those Japan shows are great. I love the moments where - before the band hired a translator - Ed tried talking to the crowd in Japanese, but occasionally slips in some Spanish.

re: Sendai, Ed really holds the note on the all I’ll be... and U is so great.

Sendai is awesmome. RVM has this beautiful jam in the middle...with Ed doing really cool things with his guitar. Sounds like SY from 1995.

I believe the Ed preset is still grouped with the recording on the Archive along with MMJ's set where he guested on It Makes No Difference as well.

Everyone has his version of a perfect setlist, so I won't get into that...According to my notes these are the best shows performancewise:
San Francisco III
Adelaide I
Adelaide II
Los Angeles II
Portland
Milan
Brisbane II
Torino
Verona
Reading
Sydney III
Los Angeles I
Pistoia
Barcelona
Gorge I
Cleveland
Melbourne I
Vienna

Ed sounds so good on Crazy Mary from Sendai. Super calm, deep, relaxed. Awesome version.
