Mustard, I can sort of understand. People put it on chili dogs, so I can understand them liking it in chili. It wouldn’t be for me, but I get it.

Mayonnaise, either on a chili dog or in chili or even in a conversation about chili should NEVER happen.

I feel like it would ultimately do the same thing sour cream does to chili just with a different flavor profile.

Right, one is a diary product and the other is egg and oil. But that doesn't make them totally dissimilar.
