I have a feeling Tenet will suck.

Not a fan of Nolan outside of Dark Knight. That space movie was alright.

Inception and TDKR are dogshit.

Memento and The Prestige are probably my two favorite Nolan films. Interstellar is the only Nolan film that I think is bad. Dunkirk is flawed but solid. I agree the editing is wonky at times but the rest of it works for me. I don't find it to be a cold film.

Curious why folks think Interstellar and Inception are bad. I have my own ideas, but, curious.

Inception is great. I have no idea why people don't like that movie.

Interstellar, for me, is just too uneven. It's not a bad looking film. But the images are too familiar, and I crave something unique and unexpected that never comes.

The themes are overly shorn, and better hewn elsewhere. None of the performances are especially compelling. The film is overlong. It's at once too tidy and an odd mess. Each act seems like it's from a different movie. The culmination is obvious and disappointing. I do think it has a lot of heart, and I like that. But it's not enough to salvage the experience.

i think every Nolan movie has something else about it. He is truly unique in the way he approach to movies. His scope, his ideas, the craft. Nobody shoots like him.

My ranking is

1 TDK
2 Inception
3 Interstellar
4 Batman Begins
5 Memento
6 TDKR
7 Dunkirk
8 The Prestige
9 Insomnia

Never saw The Following. I should.

- Inception is just poorly written in very way.
- Its the definition of faux-deep.
- Most of it's just a bad James Bond movie.

Perhaps. But it’s a story that couldn’t be told by any other director I can think of.
I don't think it takes much unique vision to make a movie about dreams that looks like a police procedural.

Come on, the city folding over itself, the spinning hotel room battle, the ski warfare (to a lesser extent), all that stuff was badass.
meh. The city stuff was neat but I was over it after the trailer.
