I promise. We will be showing a video to "mimic the protocol that would be used with a campus-wide drill." I copy/pasted the quotation.

Elsewhere parents have posted kids going through zoom presentations on evacuation drills. Are public school admins incapable of modifying their script? Is this a coping mechanism to maintain the illusion that in-person school is just around the corner?

Possibly. It's also a state law and they aren't waiving the requirements, so Monday (the 31st) will feature our required monthly active assailant drill and our monthly fire drill. They got the first week tornado drill out of the way a couple days ago.

But our school is definitely running virtual school this year as if it's in-person but just happens to be online. They're still talking about an October 1 return.

Yeah. Same school district as Parkland, so they've gone way past all reasonableness when it comes to this kind of stuff since then, but I get it.

A mass shooting would be really difficult to pull off going house to house .

(maybe they mean October 1 2021 ? )

Anyone's schools using an outdoor classroom? You can just throw school safety out the non-existent window with that one.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

A local school's kindergarten ZOOM presentation was hacked with porn overlaid with racial slurs.

I felt bad for everybody, being victimized by some hacker sleazebag.

Then they had the dumbass "tech director" on TV and he revealed non-chalantly that the presentation was hacked the beacuse the school's "announcement" contained the URL and password for the presentation.

Even my father, who is completely technically handicapped, groaned in pain.

So I don't feel so bad for them anymore. It's lawsuit time.
