Some video of him randomly shooting into the crowd yelling the n-word and giving the nazi salute is going to turn up tomorrow, and boy will egg be on my face!

Hah that would do it alright!BurtReynolds wrote:Some video of him randomly shooting into the crowd yelling the n-word and giving the nazi salute is going to turn up tomorrow, and boy will egg be on my face!
But I mean we're all only giving our opinion and passing judgement on the events as we understand them.
If information comes out that is a game changer then it makes sense your opinion would change.
Gotta just roll with folks making arguments through their emotionally altered lens. You won't escape name calling or people adding an unwarranted negative tick mark to their opinion of you.
I don't know exactly what you do with egg on your face though lol

Absolutely savage.BurtReynolds wrote:I don't know why you just default to this ad hominem every single time. As far as I can tell you've never made a real argument in any thread here. You just make angry white boy posts against Trump and clap like a seal when other people actually make good arguments against him. You contribute nothing but snide personal attacks and blind anger.
*claps like a seal*

Of course he will. That's never been in doubt. It was clear when cops thanked him for his service. And again when cops chose not to detain him at his crime scene.macphisto wrote:

My understanding is he was handcuffed to the bed because he was a convicted felon with an active warrant for sexual assault. I don’t know that this accurate and the news is highly unreliable right now

Individuals with a history of sexual violence are often treated a little different when undergoing medical treatment. In some scenarios hospitals can be liable if patients assault a staff member and so there is a decision point between police and the hospital about how each case should be treated. Not sure if anyone here is qualified to make an assessment on this, but the fact that he was willing to fight three cops probably played into it.
The word is the warrant has now been vacated and so the handcuffs have been removed, proving once again:

It was very much in doubt prior to the new info we’ve recently learned about what happened that night. He killed two unarmed men for Pete’s sake! I’m sure his defense team appreciates your optimism.durdencommatyler wrote:Of course he will. That's never been in doubt. It was clear when cops thanked him for his service. He wasn’t arrested at the scene because the cops were obviously unaware of what had just transpired, it being a chaotic riot scene and all, not because he was white (forgive me if that’s not what you were implying). He tried to surrender but they apparently took him for just another LARPer and told him to beat it. I know that you know that.
As for attempting to draw some parallel between this and the Blake shooting, I almost didn’t quote that part of your post because it’s just embarrassing. The incidents will be forever linked, but couldn’t be more different.

Going to say something weird here, which is that on the subject of Rittenhouse I...broadly agree with Burt.

Yes. Good job. You have scientifically proven some point no one was making with a sweet meme, thereby pwning everyone. Your are the winner.Bi_3 wrote:E.H. I agree they couldn't be more different. That's the point and the shame of it all.

Re: The Protest Thread
Kind of a side point, but I think a number of folks in this thread would like to call someone "boy" and it's not Rittenhouse.

Re: The Protest Thread
That was cheap. Sorry. But seriously Mickey maybe you can explain Burt's position better and why you agree with him. At a certain point I got lost in what he was trying to say.
I think if I'd known he wanted a moral philosophy discussion from the jump things would have gone differently. Is that where you agree with him? On moral philosophy terms?
