There's video. Not really sure if it was related or what.

Apparently related. Deceased had a thin blue line patch and patriot prayer hat, as far as I know.BurtReynolds wrote:There's video. Not really sure if it was related or what.

Re: The Protest Thread
Seemed like antifa, patriot prayer, and proud boys had some previous understanding that it was cool to mace and bludgeon each other, and maybe brandishing is okay, but its not cool to actually try to kill each other. Do I misunderstand the nature of their previous street battles? Is this a new development?
*Edit*
Not saying that this is what happened, but if it did involve two individuals known to have taken part in earlier street fighting, would this escalation mean anything?

I would think it means a lot. This guy might have brought pepper spray to a gunfight. They won't make that mistake again.simple schoolboy wrote:Seemed like antifa, patriot prayer, and proud boys had some previous understanding that it was cool to mace and bludgeon each other, and maybe brandishing is okay, but its not cool to actually try to kill each other. I think Wheeler has to resign now, right?

Re: The Protest Thread
peaceful protest is much more powerful for many reasons
including
you don’t risk events like that video being used to undermine the movement
it takes discipline
people trained for the sit-ins to not react
these protestors lack discipline

It's a shitty thing, but I'm not going to let you disparage the effort to end racist police violence with the shitty opinion of 5 loud people.Bi_3 wrote:Yeah, yeah we get it B. Very fine people on both sides.

Re: The Protest Thread
Seems like the movement disparaged itself as soon as rioting and looting were involved. not saying BLM is the direct cause of it but once the looting and rioting are seen during protests it didn’t help the cause.

Re: The Protest Thread
I don't know the specifics of Minnesota or Wisconsin Covid related restrictions or economic disruptions, but I do wonder what the rioting/ looting would look like if those young people had 9-5 jobs to show up to the following day or full time class. The protests are one of the few government/ socially approved way to socialize. Seems like a good place to meet up with your friends and figure out where to break things as the evening progresses. One can only play COD for so many hours a day.blueviper wrote:Seems like the movement disparaged itself as soon as rioting and looting were involved. not saying BLM is the direct cause of it but once the looting and rioting are seen during protests it didn’t help the cause.
