A compilation of worthwhile material from 2016-2018? That would be a rarities mix, wouldn't it!

I kid.

Sort of.

great show

great version of Insignificance

I wish PJ would make more music like Of the Girl
Wildly inconsistent show IMO, but yeah, some great versions nonetheless: Brain of J, NAIS, Daughter > It's OK, Grievance, In My Tree, Black, STBC.

I saw 14 of my 19 PJ shows on this tour. So many great shows! The let down was the differences in opening bands. Sonic Youth was amazing... Like getting two great concerts for the price of one. Supergrass, though... Oh my god they were so awful. Played basically the same set every night and never played Don't Be Cruel, the obvious connection to PJ off the Chicago Cab soundtrack.

It's my tenth. I will never cover Just Breathe, especially in a red neck accent. Having said that, a guitar version of Broken Heart in D would suit a sort of Eagles voice I reckon.

Today is my 20th -- St. Louis, MO, 10/11/2000. Haven't listened to any live PJ in a while so this seems like a good excuse.

I bought this show back in 2001 (having so far only bought Seattle II and a few of the Euro boots) essentially because it had 'U' on it (which I was desperate to hear for some reason). I really stuck gold - AMAZING show with peak versions of Brain of J, Whipping, In My Tree, SOLAT and many others (not to mention the TB2000 version of GTF :nice: )

Great tour for rarities.

My buddy and I (who both kind of lost the thread with the band lateley) text each other sometimes when we find ourselves listening to them. It came up today and we agreed this might be the best PJ song. Be that as it may, it made me go back and find this clip.

Stunning.

This song was one of the majors reasons this band caught my attention. Brilliant performance. A shame they normally play it way too fast.

It's a lovely song, and a great advert for binaural. Reminds me of Carrie Fisher now.

I'm still confused as to how, after cancelling De Kuip, they deemed it safe to play in outdoor stadiums with standing?

Last night, I listened to the Montreal show from that tour (10/04/2000). First bootleg I ever listened to around 2002.

So, I listened without checking the tracklist. I realised they were playing a Yield streak (GTF, Wishlist, Pilate), then Stone had trouble with is setup so they played Last kiss without him.

They went back to the Yield streak : Do the evolution, Improv, MFC.

Were there other times during the tour that they " thematic " setlists ?

the show in poland either didn't have a setlist or they started with all slow stuff for the first like 5 songs.

Listened to the majority of this show today. Threw me for a loop when Eddie misses the first verse of release and starts with the second verse twice. Love the slow start and then totally rip through some of the best rockers in their catalog.

Grievance from Katowice 2 stood out as a great version, Ed on fire with the vocals.
