Return to Mount Kennedy (Ed on Soundtrack)

Post by B »

http://www.mtkennedy.com/
In 1965 Jim Whittaker led Senator Robert Kennedy to the first ascent of a remote mountain in the Yukon named after the late president, JFK. Fifty years later, the sons of the original climbing team—a raucous band manager, a candidate for governor, and a young mountaineer—embark on an expedition to the mountain to celebrate the special bond that connects them all. Featuring unreleased instrumentals by Eddie Vedder and never before seen footage and photos of Robert Kennedy, the feature-length documentary sits at the intersection of politics, human rights, environmentalism and adventure.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Most famous for his voice, but making instrumentals. Hope they are good.

I mean, fuck ... is there any way to get these songs without spending $130 on the SubPop Singles Club?

PM Ridley. If there's a way, Ridley knows it.

sounds like a holdover from Into the Wild, but they're okay.

I’d say it’s instrumental to his catalogue

A little bit of Neil Young's "Old Man" in there.

I listen to a lot of solo acoustic guitar stylists like Nathan Salsburg, William Tyler, Marisa Anderson and others, and Ed's really legitimately good at these kinds of compositions.
