Why did Rosenbaum think it was a good idea to try to take the kids gun? Probably the same thought process involved with the previous criminal acts that led to his conviction. I don't believe any National Merit scholars were shot that night.

I don't get why everyone needs to work so hard to justify what happened here either way. Seems like a classic when idiots collide situation to me. The sheriff was right when he said if you're not some moron out in the streets after curfew you don't have to worry about dying.
