There are probably more screening measures in place for players on campus than if they were just left on their own. They can also opt out if they want to.
Also, I follow all the rules and take all precautions. The horse has left the barn though and it just gets more and more sad watching all the experts try act like they can do anything about it.
Recently some German experts were going on about Air Conditioning and spreading Covid indoors. Wasn't that convincing Hong Kong restaurant case from like March? Whats with experts being six month behind randos with anime avatars on twitter?
There was a lot of talk of seasonal mitigation early on. Not sure why that's still being thrown at the wall when all the graphs showing our big summer respite turned out to be not even close to accurate. It's almost like nobody has any idea what they are talking about.
I don't recall any serious scientists saying they believed warmer weather would make a significant difference. Basically all said it was possible, but didn't have any confidence it would likely happen.
Maybe lots of folks were avoiding reality by believing without a doubt it would be seasonal like the flu. That I believe.
The Rona hit just as we were going into our seasonal flu season, and the only impact was that with the lockdown and social distancing etc - cases of flu were down 90%. This thing has been great for the mortality rate over here this year

Yep it was pure speculation. Then our responsible potus said it would help, and everyone wanted to hear that because they couldn’t deal with the thought of not being able to have backyard bbqs or patio drink.
Marina Pollán of the Carlos III Health Institute in Madrid, who led Spain’s antibody survey, says Africa’s youthfulness may protect it. Spain’s median age is 45; in Kenya and Malawi, it’s 20 and 18, respectively. Young people around the world are far less likely to get severely ill or die from the virus. And the population in Kenya’s cities, where the pandemic first took hold, skews even younger than the country as a whole, says Thumbi Mwangi, an epidemiologist at the University of Nairobi. The number of severe and fatal cases “may go higher when the disease has moved to the rural areas where we have populations with advanced age,” he says.
Jambo is exploring the hypothesis that Africans have had more exposure to other coronaviruses that cause little more than colds in humans, which may provide some defense against COVID-19. Another possibility is that regular exposure to malaria or other infectious diseases could prime the immune system to fight new pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2, Boum adds. Barasa, on the other hand, suspects genetic factors protect the Kenyan population from severe disease.

Covid-19: Oxford coronavirus vaccine trial on hold
Late-stage studies of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine candidate are on temporary hold while the company investigates whether a patient suffered a serious side effect or if the illness had nothing to do with the shot.

It's sad knowing that if the bikers had only flown BLM flags on their trikes and smashed some shit when they left the virus would have known to stay away. R.I.P.

You don't see these types of headlines after all the giant protests. When it does get mentioned people immediately remind you that 100% of protestors wear masks and social distance. Can't you see how stupid all of this is, personal politics aside?

1) i dont know nor believe 100% of protestors are wearing masks
2) show me information that shows the protests have led to massive spikes in Covid cases (truly, ill gladly read them)
3) I dont care about politics and covid. However, im not going to sit here and say a stupid fucking sturgis rally (ive had friends who went) is half as important as human rights protest
4) I hope the protestors (i hate looting) make a difference at the voting booth
