Also, our hospitals have what they need now, and we're learning how to treat it.Bi_3 wrote:Isn’t that because the infection age has skewed much younger?BurtReynolds wrote:slight uptick in new cases last week. Deaths have never really taken off in the second wave...
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Roll someone on their stomach and give them steroids has been quite the breakthrough in modern medicine.B wrote:Also, our hospitals have what they need now, and we're learning how to treat it.Bi_3 wrote:Isn’t that because the infection age has skewed much younger?BurtReynolds wrote:slight uptick in new cases last week. Re: Anybody want a Corona?
We’ve gotten a lot better at treating severe cases, which makes sense seeing as how during the first wave we had no experience or research on the virus, and now we have 7 months of experience and research. We’re also catching a lot of severe cases sooner, and (as was mentioned) seeing cases skew younger than before. But this second arc has averaged around 50,000 cases a day, and roughly 1,000 deaths....so the ratio is not exactly awesome, and we still have no clear idea of the potential for long term consequences for survivors or how the flu season / winter might favor the virus.

They have some sweet proprietary* Nuclear reactors, those Maple leafs. I don't think they're building any new ones, but they probably aren't deactivating them well before the end of their useful lives.96583UP wrote:how are the tar sands in calgary these days?

All I got is Canada > California, but thats a low threshold these days.
