I'm throwing together a spotify playlist for my run later and it's pretty tough because Wilco has always been a band with clear "opening songs" and "closing songs". You can't put IATBYH, ALTWYS and Misunderstood near each other in the playlist. It doesn't feel right. Same thing with songs like Reservations and Dreamer in My Dreams, though it's not as consistent with "closing songs".

by the way, i nominate Capitol City as worst Wilco song from a studio album.

I happen to find it to be a pleasant little ditty on an otherwise clunker of an album.

I think the lyrics are lame but I enjoy the song overall. Fun songs like Hate it Here and Walken seem to be what bother people about SBS. I don't get it.

I did start on Ode to Joy, another one I haven't listened to much. I really like that one, probably because it has similarities to AGIB.

i need to go back to it, but i did enjoy it enough...i just haven’t been listening to music as much these days

I listened to it all the way through earlier today and I think you really just have to be in the right mood to take it on. It's sparse sounding like Schmilco, but not in the same warm and nostalgic way.
