I don't understand what's happening with these. Is each album like a new comp of odds-n-ends, sort of imagining albums that never were? And what about those installments that take the names of formerly released albums, but have totally different tracklists?

I want to hear all of this, I just don't get the context for this set.

Disc 1 = Time Fades Away-era compilation
Disc 2 = Tuscaloosa concert *
Disc 3 = alternate Tonight's The Night album?
Disc 4 = Roxy concerts compilation * (+bonus track)
Disc 5 = On The Beach sessions compilation
Disc 6 = Old Homestead sessions compilation
Disc 7 = Homegrown (unreleased album) *
Disc 8 = Zuma sessions compilation
Disc 9 = Long May You Run/early Chrome Dreams sessions compilation
Disc 10 = Odeon/Budokan (unreleased live album)

Thanks WCT. The alt-TTN alone has me salivating.

Alt track order, only 3 unreleased songs. Nothing to get too excited about.

Personally I've been waiting for Odeon/Budokan even thought it's only 10 tracks.

Much like the first volume, I'm really excited to hear all this stuff (even more so this time around), but for what it sure to be a really hefty price tag, I wish less of it was previously released. Looking forward to Odeon/Budokan a lot (part two of Songs for Judy, correct?), and that Old Homestead disc is pretty intriguing to me too...

Not really. Songs For Judy is from the US Tour and all-acoustic. It was originally a bootleg compilation conceived by Joel Bernstein and a large portion of it comes from soundboard cassettes.

Odeon/Budokan was professionally recorded overseas and is a mix of acoustic and electric w/ Crazy Horse. It is an actual unreleased album conceived by Neil.

The Budokan "Don't Cry No Tears" is wonderful and was slated to be on "Decade" at one point.

Judy isn't included because I guess Neil considers it an extra/superflous item. He did the same with the 1st box, which didn't include some of the live albums.

I think Hitchhiker would be the first item in Box #3 probably.

The most important thing to me is the content and the sound quality, which Neil truly delivers.

But the way he lays all this shit out, with individual releases and box sets that sometimes intersect and sometimes don't....is a worst nightmare for anyone with OCD.

He's been talking smack about doing yet another series of bootleg quality material...a real official bootleg series.

Listening to The Times right now. I read Neil recorded these songs on his porch this summer. The songs have a demo-ish type feel to them, but really enjoying them. I particularly like the versions of Alabama and Ohio on here.

Yea i was actually surprised at how much i enjoyed this. It feels super intimate
