A lot of Floyd fans unwilling to admit how cheesy they are
Please please lecture me on how Mother sounds nothing like this song... I definitely can hear them recording this around the time Ed played with Waters for Sandy, not coincidental that they've been covering or in that case, collaborating with Floyd. This one will be a rock radio smash btw.

I just rolled through all the studio versions of stuff we have so far, in order. This album is really going to be all over the place and really be good, too.

Me too. It is a more involved Small Town.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

I agree, I'm saying that just because this song is cheesy, doesn't mean there's no Floyd in it.

No I got that, totally agree- just anticipating the naysayers to fill this up with comments about how PJ take their inspiration from Nickelback.

It's a million miles away from Nickelback except for *slightly* in the chorus.

Remember when Kurt Cobain said Pearl Jam sounded like Poison? This was what he was talking about.
Earlier this year I finally had my hair metal catch-up phase. Pearl Jam always manages to know what to release when

The piano over the "But all things change, let this remain" part is what reminds me of Gary Barlow / Take That.
