Armenia: armed primarily by Russia.
Supported: to some extent by Russia and Western NATO.

Azerbaijan: armed primarily by (Also Russia (left over by former client states?)), Israel, and Turrkey
Supported: by Turkey and any Islamists that want to make this religious.

Interesting to see if new Russian Pantsir and other AA systems* do better with Russian/ Armenian crew against Turkish UAVs. Previously, domesticaley made Turkish UAVs stomped all over Syrian AA units during their limited campaign against SAA units using Pantsir system (among others)

I wonder if some of these countries are going to start buying Turkish or French equipment.

Azeri T-72 crewmen will probably have the worst survival rates of any soldier specialty in this conflict. I don't know how survivable an ATGM strike on a tank is normally, but the whole 90% chance of all the ammunition cooking off immediately can't be helping.

These Azeri armor formations operating in daytime, in the open without smoke screens or artillery support. Big oof.

Back to the Armenia/ Azeri channel:

The Armenian claim that Artsakh is some independent region is dumb and smacks of Russian claims of other "autonomous" regions elsewhere: see South Ossetia or the Donbass. There were probably diplomatic reasons to not just honestly go Anschluss on Artsakh, but I don't know if anyone that would matter would have behaved differently.

Unfortunately, the Armenian backers are Russia and the Kardashians. Its unfortunate thats how things worked out. The Azeris have the neo-Ottomans on their side, and seem to be re-upping them with Syria by way of Libyan mercenaries.

Is there any way that Turkey and Russia 'lose' without extensive local losses?

i don't know what most of these words mean

but a lot of "A's" , you don't see a lot of 'A' words anymore so that's interesting

Do you want Turkey to 'win' or Russia to 'win'? This isn't a proxy war, but thats how the sides line up regarding Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Fun side note, the Israeli company that provides some of Azerbaijan's 'suicide' or 'kamikaze' drone, or 'loitering munitions': they apparently got in trouble for agreeing to demo their product on an occupied Armenian position. If true...

Turkey/ Azerbaijan demonstrated the effectiveness of large numbers of drones. Armenia might have just the export version of Russian SAMs, so maybe that explains part of their difficulties. They also have several different models of TELARs and TELs (with the different radars of the OSA-AK, BUK, or TOR systems, and have not been able to stem the tide. Would a better network for their AA systems have been able to combat the Turkish/ Israeli Electronic Warfare?

Consider that we have relatively few Patriot batteries and thats all we have as far as SAM systems go. If we can't be assured of air superiority, we are hosed. Unlike the Russian variety of platforms of TELARs/ TLRs, we have trailer mounted radar and launchers. They only work in prepared sites that are especially vulnerable.

So... buy more Block 60 F16s? Revive the Tigershark II program? (in spirit)

Sadly, no:
Armenia has not addressed the slapping music video gap. They cannot hope to prevail against odds like these.
