Re: The 45th POTUS - Donald J. Trump
We are absolutely in control of our own conduct and how we protect others. One of the deep ironies of this virus is that Republicans have preached "personal responsibility" for decades but have decided to completely eschew that concept when it's needed most. It's almost like it was total bullshit!I think it's good for everyone to do their best but I still think we'll all get sick eventually. I think it's important for our collective psyche to give up this notion that we are in control.

No. I take care to prevent it because it is something I can control.verb_to_trust wrote:Have you gained weight since March?McParadigm wrote:Not sure that constantly complaining about other people’s outlooks doesn’t qualify as “obsessing over shit I can’t control,” either.verb_to_trust wrote:My engagement level here is much less than say some doomer who combs the entirety of twitter for things to retweet.McParadigm wrote:Not sure that spending half of every day on a message board news forum doesn’t qualify as “obsessing over shit I can’t control.”verb_to_trust wrote:I don't spend every waking moment obsessing over shit I can't control so I do have that going for me.JuanHamm wrote:Yes, it seems to have done your psyche a lot of goodverb_to_trust wrote:I think it's good for everyone to do their best but I still think we'll all get sick eventually. Apparently the octomom has already had covid so we don't get to enter her testing positive into the scenario.

Pity the poor White House that just spent weeks saying “we lied to you to prevent panic,“ and now has to go on TV and say “the president is doing just fine.”
