Would y'all agree that this is again in the category of "different and better" than the style of music they were producing on BS and LB? I know stip compared to Amongst The Waves, but I'm not seeing that, aside from it being a midtempo type builder.

It's more the tempo. It doesn't really sound like ATW. If you dislike ATW because of that faux anthem thing it's got going on, then it shouldn't deter you from this IMO.

Could not agree more- Who Ever Said is so well-regarded here, yet I think it might be under-rated as an opener, and the next three songs!!!

I do think that this comparison might provide us the best opportunity to compare BO'B and JE styles of production. Similar bones to the songs, and some tones as you say, but where BO'B goes slick/anthem, JE goes for what I would call contrast/garage.
