Most of the words are in the breakdown, and that’s the best part of the song, and maybe my favorite lyrics on the album.
It is the best part of the song, but could still use fewer words.
I love the words and I don’t get this complaint.

The lyrics and vocal delivery are probably the two best things about this song.

Yup.
I'm also partial to that guitar feedback swell that follows this part.

When I think about Gigatron, this is the exact passage (stanza?) that I hum to myself :bammer:

After a few months of digesting their latest release, I think Gigaton is a top 3 PJ album and it may move up in the next few years....I also think 'Who Ever Said' is an instant classic (don't @ me) and from the 2:40 mark, is among my favourite studio moments this band has ever done.

I was disappointed in LB (only Riot Act is worse imho - sorry die hards :D ) but I figured at this stage of their careers, 2 or 3 good songs off any new release is an accomplishment. To say Gigaton exceeded my expectations would be an understatement.

I find myself playing this song on repeat. I can not get enough of it. This might be their best album opener.

This is the best PJ tune in 20+ years and a bonafide top 10 in their catalogue...in my book anyways. Nice to see the album is doing very well here in Canada :peace:

It's up there for sure- my other faves are Can't Keep, Breakerfall and Once, and I'd say it's more dynamic than any of them.

 I’m not quite to that level, but I really love it. It keeps growing on me, so maybe it will be up in the top 10 range at some point.

I didn't think of it on my own but I can follow your logic for sure, especially in the ending part -- scrappy, loud, extremely wordy. Ed's rhythm playing is not unlike EC's -- kind of endearingly cumbersome, without a lot of disciplined technique, but also unmistakably his. I'm down with the comparison

Ok, This was probably discussed before but I just noticed it...

Right after the drone sounds...and just before the main riff kicks in. What is Ed whispering?? Or am I getting crazy?
