Tragic event but seems like it is being handled correctly at this point. Officers will never be perfect but we can expect better of them and holding them accountable is big step towards that.Orpheus wrote:https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/06/us/jonat ... index.html

How were you able to peer into Chauvins soul and determine that his actions were motivated by racial animus? Must be a pretty cool party trick.Orpheus wrote:Honestly, shut the fuck up.simple schoolboy wrote:Damn that racist fentanyl.B wrote:simple schoolboy wrote:When's the last time a hate crime that went viral/ got national news coverage was real?

If I didn't see his soul during the video, I haven't seen anyones.

Have you considered that maybe he as just a dick of the non-racist variety? Or has the programming reached too deep?B wrote:If I didn't see his soul during the video, I haven't seen anyones.

I've considered it. The Venn Diagram of "People who are dicks" and "People who hold the most racist opinions" is ALMOST a perfect circle.BurtReynolds wrote:Have you considered that maybe he as just a dick of the non-racist variety? So I can avoid them, what are the ten most racist opinions? (difficulty: no mentioning backspacer)B wrote:I've considered it. Re: Black Lives Matter
I'll put up a less trolly answer. Whether or not Chauvin is racist isn't really a question worth asking. Were his actions racist? Yes. He was kneeling on the neck of a black man accused of using a counterfeit bill while he, and the black people around him begged for Chauvin to let him breathe. Unless, Chauvin has a reputation of suffocating all accused counterfeiters, white and black, his actions damage the black community both directly (by killing Floyd) and indirectly, by sowing fear among the blacks in the community and severing any relationship they may have with the law enforcement community that is meant to protect them.Bi_3 wrote:So I can avoid them, what are the ten most racist opinions? I think Burt was pointing out that the emojis for peace, thumbs up, waving, and OK are all... shall we say... "beige" while the f**k you emoji is not.

A town near us was asked to take the BLM flags off of their city hall b/c it's a polling place. They have refused.
