I especially like how 38 deaths in a year, 23 from one source, is presented as some huge crisis in the same year that 16,425 murders occurred. Gotta get those budget requests justified somehow.

Of course they could expand that number, but then they would have to consider clear acts of terrorism that doesn't come from explicitly white supremacist sources, and that wouldn't fit the narrative. And that's ignoring what they consider "white supremacists".
