Revelator wrote:Yeah I take that back, having watched the end of the video more closely. On the new home screen I like the way games and media are portioned out. Wasn't a huge fan of all the 'activity cards' or whatever they're called for the first half of the video, but the home screen does look nice and modernized compared to the dated PS4 look now. The speed/responsiveness of everything look f'ing amazing too. This further motivation for me to finally get a hard wire/ethernet cable connection direct to my PS instead of relying on wifi
The activities cards will only be as helpful as the individual developers make them. As someone with very curated times to play, I am very interested in the ability to quickly jump between levels and to see how much time is left on a particular section of a game.

Got an email from Best Buy this morning that one of my accessories (head set) will release next Friday (30 Oct). I'm assuming Amazon (where I ordered the rest of my accessories) will follow suit soon. It's happening!

I'm so glad we have this to distract us from all the election BS. Very exciting time.

Have the candidates endorsed a console yet?

I only ordered the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset through Best Buy, which is what I got the email notification about. I ordered another control, charging station, and media remote through Amazon.

In hindsight I probably really don't need the headset. I love my Bose 5.1 system and it sounds amazing when gaming; however, I'm rarely able to use it to its full capacity living in a fucking condo. A headset will never trump a solid 5.1 system though IMO

I've very interested in a new headset, especially in light of the 3D Audio the system promises. I'm never really able to crank the sound because I game at night with a sleeping kid not very far away. Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

This video is incredible and really puts to bed the whole “its going to overheat” stuff.

Less than three weeks away.

Fanboy stuff is so intolerable sometimes. Good to see this thing will be quiet and cool.

What is the first game you're going to play on your next-gen console? I'm thinking I'm going to go with Demon Souls.

Probably Watch Dogs: Legion, as I’m just going to hold off on getting it until after my Series X arrives. However, I never played Gears 5 and seeing how its being optimized to 120 fps is going to tempt me.

Demon's Souls or Astro Bot. Probably while I wait for 2k21 to download.

I'd like to start off with a game that's comes in a PS5 box, like Spider Man or Demons Souls; however, I'm itching to replay TLOU2 so that will probably be the first PS4 game I throw into the new big ass system.

Spiderman. I'll probably get Fenyx Rising when that comes out shortly after.

I dunno why but I just can't get excited for Spiderman. I didn't play the PS4 version. I preordered Miles Morales deluxe including Spiderman remaster cause it was the only bundle available and I'm just hoping I enjoy them. All the reviews say it's amazing so fingers crossed.

I felt the first one was unnecessarily bloated. Interested to hear how long the new one is.

I feel that way about pretty much every open world games. Funny, I remember Spider-Man being on the shorter side, at least the main story missions.

Looks to me like the media have started getting their hands on the next gen consoles. Hopefully we'll start seeing first impressions soon and probably reviews about a week or so before release...

Seems a bit premature given they haven't actually touched a PS5 yet?
