Who is Mel Bourne?
Another fantastically stupid comment.
Try to lighten up
I think verb has cracked. And we should celebrate his renewed interest in humor.

Welcome to the board, funny verb!

Record casedemic numbers in IL today (one of the more restrictive states since the start). Really shocked human behavior can't stop a highly transmissible virus.

Yeah good point man, this totally fits with the fact that Illinois was down to ~500 new cases a day in June but has been steadily increasing since September. Wonder what happened in September. I bet it was more futile human behavior.

funny how in the beginning i treated my cloth masks with such reverence

now i just throw them in the laundry and sort them alongside the sock pile

leave a spare in the glove compartment of the car

ain't no thang

definitely could see where we get to a normalized state in society where we just wear these forever, kind of like how arab women wear face coverings

If you want to wear a mask forever knock yourself out. Most people aren't going to do that.

i am building a dependency

i enjoy not having to make pleasant facial expressions to people when i pass by them or interact with them

these masks are finishing the job that social media started

killing human social interaction

now all we need to do is revive Google Glass

Mask + Google Glass + social media obsession = awesome future i want to be a part of

I don't know how much you can generalise about this.

Other places are doing great (comparatively), so there must be other factors at play.

I haven't worn a mask once during this whole thing and I've barely seen anyone else wearing one. After having a few cases early on, we haven't had a case of community transmission in my city or state in months. We still have the rare case get confirmed, but all are incoming travellers who were already in mandatory quarantine. Our total cases since the pandemic began is 487 with 4 deaths.

I don't care about other countries. The spread got out of control here so face diapers and no indoor dining isn't going to amount to shit.
