Unhinged. The premise seemed a bit far fetched, but it didn't really let up at all. Was too violent for my wife. She didn't like it

On The Rocks.
Sofia Coppola´s worst movie by far. Rashida Jones was so one note it was embarrassing.

whos? Rashida? It kinda shows here how limited she is as an actress. It hurts the movie badly.tragabigzanda wrote:That’s kind of her whole dealVinylGuy wrote:On The Rocks.

Re: What movies are you watching?
Watched some more horror movies this weekend - all available on the various streaming services i have access to.
Annabelle Comes Home - not bad, fairly scary despite a few goofy looking ghosts and ghouls, and a pretty standard story
Sinister 2 - very disappointing. I remember the first one being pretty good, but this one was just boring. The ghosts being on camera so much really kills the tension and it just wasn't a very interesting story.
Us - Well acted and I enjoyed the opening scene. Outside of that I hated it. Obvious twist and social commentary without a coherent story to tie it all together. It just felt like a bunch of ideas and images tossed together without any connections or payoffs. It also wasn't scary at all, which is a big knock against a horror movie.
I'm not sure what I'm going to try next. The horror genre is such a minefield.

I like both really, but at the moment I'm looking to be scared and only supernatural stuff really scares me.
I liked The Conjuring recently and The Ring terrified me back in the day. I haven't seen The Grudge, which was recommended to me today, so maybe I'll try that.
Another movie I watched this weekend was Ready or Not,which I enjoyed quite a lot. I only wish it had been a little more violent. It wasn't quite as satisfying as You're Next (which is an awesome movie)

I was recommended the old Grudge.
The Wretched sounds good and it's streaming on Hulu, so it looks like a winner.

Kill List is a great hybrid hitman/horror flick that I highly recommend if you've never seen it.
