Seems a bit premature given they haven't actually touched a PS5 yet?
Id imagine Sony released the specs a while ago
We didn't even know those plates were removable until like two weeks ago!

That weekend will basically be a holiday weekend in my household with the PS5 release and The Masters.

I probably won't receive mine until Monday or Tuesday. Any idea how retailers are shipping? Hopefully not USPS.

I have guaranteed release date delivery for two of my orders (right now at least). Depends on the retailer as to what shipping service they use.

I wonder why antonline can't do early delivery if the others can. I'm still shocked you managed to obtain 9,587 preorders.

I haven't received any additional communication about my preorders. I expect to receive my XSX on launch day since I ordered from Microsoft. I'm not sure what Target is doing for the PS5.

I feel like Target is pretty good at delivering on launch day or very near launch day. They use every shipping service known to man though.

My PS5 order directly from Sony has a guaranteed release date delivery. I'm not super confident about the other two pre-orders arriving on time.

Shit I forgot the Master's is also on that weekend, hell yeah! Going to be pretty cool seeing Augusta in all its glory in the middle of Fall

Guys, seriously, how excited are you for this from 1 to 10? With the state of the world and everything right now, it's just even more of a gift. It's a dream. Got the shivers.

I'm a solid 8 or 9. Like you said, it's likely one of the only things scheduled to happen this year that will actually happen. It helps there will be several games I'm interested in available at launch. New technology is always fun.

For sure. Yeah, I'd say I'm a 9. I have to reserve a 10 for something yet unknown or else I'm setting myself up for disappointment.

Only a 6 for PS5 and maybe a 4 or 5 for XSX. 0 killer apps kinda puts a damper on things.

I've said it before in this thread, but the PS5 has one of the better launch lineups ever. Several games are available on last gen hardware, sure, but they have better versions on the PS5. Miles Morales, Sackboy, Demon's Souls, Assasin's Creed, Cyberpunk, and even Astro Bot's playroom all appear to be quality titles in a variety of genres.

That being said, I totally understand being a little underwhelmed. The PS4 didn't really get going until Year 2 or so. If you are looking to play new titles only available on new hardware, you'll probably be waiting at least another 6-12 months.

I have a hard time counting cross gen games towards the launch lineup because anyone can play those. I think both launch lineups are weak. Only reason I’m upgrading to a Series X is because my XB1 is closing in on 7 years old at launch and its showing its age on games.
