kinda liked it. there are some nice things happening there.

It's strange to think this song is 2 songs after "Mind Your Manners".
"My Father's Son" must be one helluva bridge

It's just not long enough. I wish each part were longer. Even the solo. Which sort of doesn't have enough after it. No closure really. It could have had another verse after it and been all the better for it.
On the bright side, this band were never really about "traditional" structures until BO'B showed up, and this song doesn't have one, doesn't do what you think it should at any point really.

Once again, the negative opinions are so harsh that it's hard to keep track of the general consensus but I definitely feel like I've read more positive, or at least non-committal, reactions today compared to the negative "PJ is dead to me now" reactions that I anticipated.

I like it. Ed's vocals during the verses remind me of Crazy Mary a bit.

It kinda reminds me of the "Real Men of Genius" Bud Light commercials.

Chud has been silent today.... Maybe he's still just too emotional after his first listen. He's all choked up

Speaking for myself, the RIP Pearl Jam stuff was fun when it was up in the air because it was (pardon the term) harmless. Now that there's music out there, it's one thing to talk about not caring for it, or to talk about its demographics or the lack of effect...it's another to declare the death of a band who is making music that other people are excited about.

I like it. Has a Divison Bell-era Floyd feel to it. Actually, a lot of this song does.

I put this in a playlist with the other leaks in order and was rocking out to it in my car starting with sirens and scared the shit out of myself when lightning bolt came on because it was so much louder than sirens because of the quality of rip. Too bad there's not a better quality one out there yet...sounds good in the car though!
